Target Audience

Age:
The age range for the thriller I am going to produce is going to be for 15 year olds and above. Using this age range we don’t have to worry about using content that is too mature for the genre and for the group’s age range.

Gender:
We are going to aim the thriller opening towards both genders as it will be easier to cater for both genders as we will be open to use more ideas. It will also rule out obvious ideas such as over sexualising men or women as it is for both genders.

Background:
The background we are going to use a more professional background because we can then make the opening less obvious and give the viewer more enigmas. Given a professional background we can also try and relate our style to that of a professional style, for example relating to professional hobbies and interests. We will be able to give a more sophisticated narrative to as the people will have had a higher education.

Demographics:
For the demographics we are aiming towards C1-A. We have done this because it will fit into our background of viewers more because they are from these categories.

Interests:
The interest of these demographics can go from reading books to going on track days to even spar days. With such a wide range of interests we can use many things in our production.

Other media the audience would use:
The demographic we have chosen will have interest in most media if not all. We would expect them to read newspapers and books, as well as listen to the radio. They will watch TV shows that have meaning and interest such as historical TV dramas and even chat shows. They may also find interest in Series TV shows such as Breaking Bad and The Sopranos. The music they listen to is probably very much open to opinion. We suspect that the music they listen to will be popular music from there time period they grew up in.
